What determines the value?
Titanium scrap is not priced by purity alone. Commercially pure titanium and titanium alloys have different specifications and recycling markets. Keep known grades separate and retain material certificates where available. Coatings, mixed metals, moisture and process residues can change the assessment.
Form, quantity and recoverable material
Sheets, mesh, solid offcuts and machining chips require different handling and preparation. Gross weight is not always the payable weight: packaging, contamination and non-metallic material may need to be excluded. Platinum- or iridium-coated titanium requires a separate assessment of the coating as well as the titanium substrate; the coating value cannot be inferred from appearance.
How to request a quote
Send clear photographs, the material grade if known, estimated net weight, scrap form, location and information about previous use or contamination. Ask which sampling or analysis method will be used and how transport, preparation and processing costs are treated. A quote should state its validity period and settlement basis. Market changes and the confirmed composition may affect the final value; there is no single fixed price for all titanium scrap.
Contact Huatuo Metals with your material details to discuss an assessment. Do not mix unidentified scrap into an otherwise traceable batch.
