Recycling case of titanium anode waste from the dialysis unit of the desalination plant in Indonesia ‌

In Indonesia, a country with rich marine resources, desalination technology is of great significance to ensure the supply of fresh water resources. However, the titanium anode in the dialysis unit used in the desalination process will become waste after long-term use. In order to effectively utilize these wastes and reduce environmental pollution, Indonesia has adopted a series of innovative recycling measures and successfully realized the resource utilization of titanium anode waste.

1. Background introduction

Indonesia has a long coastline, and desalination technology is crucial to solving the problem of fresh water shortage. The dialysis unit is one of the key equipment in the desalination process, and the titanium anode is an important component of the dialysis unit. However, as the dialysis unit continues to operate, the titanium anode will gradually lose its activity and eventually become waste. If these wastes are not handled properly, it will not only cause waste of resources, but also pollute the environment. After we and the customer had in-depth communication in the email, we reached a recycling plan.

2. Set off to Jakarta, Indonesia

On January 6, our expert Jane came to Jakarta, and the customer Hazmin warmly received us and went to the customer's factory. After detailed communication, Hazmin said that the titanium anode waste generated in the dialysis unit of the desalination plant, but the recycling of these materials requires professional technology and equipment support, so we consulted our experts. Jane said: Titanium anode waste is dangerous, and safety regulations must be strictly followed during the recycling process to ensure the safety of personnel and the environment.

3. Recycling process

In Indonesia, the recycling process of titanium anode waste from the dialysis unit of the desalination plant mainly includes the following steps:

‌Collection‌: First, the recycling team will collect the discarded titanium anodes from the desalination plant, and perform preliminary classification and cleaning on them to remove surface dirt and impurities.

‌Metal recycling‌: The stripped metal coating and titanium matrix will be further recycled separately. Precious metal coatings can be converted into solid precious metal powders or metal blocks through chemical precipitation, electrolytic reduction and other methods; and the titanium substrate will be re-coated with new coating materials after cleaning and testing, if it meets the use standards, and become the raw materials of new titanium anodes or other titanium products.

During the entire recycling process, the recycling team strictly abides by safety regulations and environmental protection requirements, takes necessary safety protection measures and waste liquid and waste treatment measures to ensure the safety of personnel and the environment.

IV. Recycling results and impacts

Through this series of recycling measures, the resource utilization of titanium anode waste from the dialysis unit of the desalination plant has been successfully realized. The recycled precious metals and titanium metals are widely used in electronics, chemical industry and other fields, bringing significant economic benefits to the local economy. At the same time, this recycling action also reduces the exploitation of natural resources and environmental pollution, and contributes to environmental protection.

Conclusion

The Indonesian waste recycling journey has established a long-term and stable cooperative relationship between us and our customers. If you have scrap metal to sell, no matter how large or small the quantity is, it can be recycled. Please contact our experts immediately to join this green practice and jointly promote the sustainable development of the economy and society.
